Melissa Nixon, RN, MSN, ANP-BC, COHN-S, COHC is an Employee Health Nurse Practitioner in Primary Care at the Jefferson Barracks Division of the St. Louis VAMC. She has been in the VA system for 8 years.
Melissa received her BSN degree from Arkansas State University in 1986, her MSN from St. Louis University in 1990 and her Post-Master's Adult Nurse Practitioner Certification from Jewish Hospital College at Washington University in St. Louis in 1999. She is a Certified Occupational Hearing Conservationist, a Certified Occupational Health Nurse Specialist, and is certified in ACLS.
Melissa was recently instrumental in reactivating a dormant local chapter of NOVA at the STL VAMC. She took a position on the local Board at her facility. She has been a NOVA member since her career began at the STL VAMC. Her ongoing goal is to be a resource for Nurses at her facility.
