Certification Partnership with the American Board of Occupational Health Nurses

NOVA is proud to announce a new certification partnership with the American Board for Occupational Health Nurses (ABOHN) to provide NOVA members with a $50.00 discount off the cost of their certification examination fee! This discount applies to all three ABOHN certifications for NOVA members:

Certified Occupational Health Nurse (COHN)

Certified Occupational Health Nurse-Specialist (COHN-S)

Case Management (CM)

ABOHN is an independent Nursing Specialty Certification Board founded in 1972 to set professional standards and conduct occupational health nursing specialty certification. It is the sole certifying body for occupational health nurses in the U.S. and has certified approximately 16,000 nurses since its inception, with 5,200 active certificants. ABOHN uses predetermined standards of nursing practice to validate an individual registered nurse's qualifications, knowledge and practice in the specific areas of occupational health nursing.
NOVA members pursuing any of these certifications must provide a copy of their membership card upon application. Please note that those pursuing the Case Management certification (CM) must already hold a COHN or COHN-S credential as a prerequisite.
